History

Our Journey at Champions Academy

Foundation and Growth: Champions Academy originated from the San Fernando Christian Community (SFCC), established in 1992 by Missionary Timothy Lee Warden and a small team of local Christians. Initially meeting in homes and rented spaces, the community grew and eventually moved to its permanent location along F. Ortega Highway. This multipurpose campus “The Champions Center” is now the home of both the PreK-10th grade school, “Champions  Academy” and the vibrant church family “Champions Community”. Our ever-expanding facilities and community reflects our commitment to whole-life development from childhood through adulthood, with a focus on multigenerational nurturing to cultivate champions in life.

Make Kids Smile Foundation: Founded in 2004 by Timothy Warden and his wife Bambi, this outreach program of SFCC addresses the needs of vulnerable children through health, education, and feeding programs. The growing demand led to the establishment of Champions Academy in 2016, aiming to provide quality education based on Christian principles.

Expansion and Future Goals: Starting with just four students, Champions Academy has experienced remarkable growth, now with early education, elementary, and high school levels. With sustained support and trust from the City of San Fernando, we continue to expand and enhance our educational programs, with the guidance and favor of God in every step.
